Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals an easy and straightforward cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell has also worked at some of the top restaurants in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy, and battled in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and eating at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English degree as well as a communications certificate in Canisius College Buffalo NY. She says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I enjoyed every moment." It was impossible to learn how to do, or even work hard enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The time she spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impression on her perception of food. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate in which she promotes awareness of the condition of children with diabetes. She is a frequent guest presenter at conferences, and she travels the country to mentor others in her task. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion of her life, cooking with others.
